Hi all,
we haven't been up to too much lately, just enjoying being home for a weekend. Brent's good friend from HS, Chris Pranger (actually our Best Man!) drove down from Sioux Falls, SD, to spend a few days visiting. I think they had a good "boys" weekend, golfing & watching sports :)
Themography, letterpress, embossing, die cuts, double backing, ribbons, gems, bows, vellum, flat printing, envelope liners, monograms, RSVP cards, menu card, table numbers, place cards, programs, thank you notes.....Yes, I started meeting with invitation people last weekend. Saturday, I met with gal for a few hours, scouring through books of invitations to order. I also took a "class" on Tuesday night - learning about do-it-yourself invitations at a local scrapbook store....Not a chance I am making 170 Wedding invitations myself, but there's a good chance Jan & I could be making the rehearsal dinner invitations :) It was fun to see at least what kind of paper & supplies are available! Then last night, I met with another invitation gal at the plaza, who is a computer graphic designer in downtown KC and designs invitations on the side. She does everything from scratch & will design monograms/designs or anything else we could ever want (& she was really pretty reasonably priced too), she's going to design 4 different invitation styles & we will meet again & see how much everything would cost & figure out what we're going to go with! :)
I also started shopping around for wedding shoes!!! :) no luck yet....but I should have plenty of time here...
We also got our Save-the-Date Postcards back, so we will be sending those out sometime soon!
Not too much else! We're excited for the upcoming weekend trip to Chicago over Labor Day with our good friends Matt & Brittney!!! We're going to a Chicago Cubs game! :)
296 days! yay!
