A Bride's Best Friend

So, as I have been working at assembling the invitations. The best invention is the Envelope Moistener! No more licking envelopes! :) Why have I not been doing this for years!?!

GB Bridal Shower

Last weekend, we headed back to Great Bend, for a whirl-wind of fun :)

First up, Wedding Hair Practice with Karen. She's been doing my hair since I was 15, so it's only fitting that she does my wedding hair, too! She & Brenda have agreed to come to Kansas City for a fun weekend, & to do all of the girls hair! :)

Here's to the 2 best moms in the world! Thanks so much for all your help with the wedding!!!

Bridal Shower given by my Bridesmaids Kristi & Katie! Great Job girls! So much fun seeing everybody!

And, we got in lots of family time with the Taylors & Thurmans, as well as some time watching basketball with Grandpa Jim!!! We had a great time in GB! :)

Ed & LaVera Healey

Brent's mom Jan's parents, Ed & LaVera Healey were married July 5, 1941, in Omaha, Nebraska at St. Mary's Rectory. Ed's cousin was a fireman, & had an impromptu party at the Firestation for them, after the ceremony. This picture was late 1942 or early 1943, because baby Bob is with them. Ed then went into the service for WWII from 1943-1946. They were married for 42 years.

76 days to go! We had a great weekend in Great Bend with all our parents & a great wedding shower, too! :) Thanks, Kris & Kat!

Princess Diana

My mom had Spring Break & was here last weekend. I had my first wedding dress fitting & she had her dress fitting. We did some shopping & mom did some relaxing after a crazy school year.

We went to Union Station in downtown Kansas City, for the Princess Diana Exhibit. We saw tiaras, jewels, THE wedding gown (& the 25 foot train!), letters, books, dresses she wore, etc...

My crafty mother is making our "aisle bows", so we had a test run at St. Agnes.

Here is our Wedding Invitation! A lot of little decisions, colors, fonts, etc....but I am VERY happy with how they turned out :)

we finished our Marriage Class at St. Agnes :)

& we met with a "Lighting" lady this morning.
