Connor - 1 week old!

Connor James is 1 week old!
I can't believe how fast it's gone already, but thankful for more sleep each night :)
It's hard to believe how much our world has changed in just 7 days!

Welcome to the world, Connor James!

Sorry for all the pictures, but we have a million, and it was hard to pick just a few!

I woke up Wednesday, April 10th, around 4:00am, having some weird cramping, and after watching the clock, they seemed to be coming every 3-5 minutes. I smacked Brent, saying I thought something was going on, he was totally not prepared....thinking babytime would be the next week. I got up, showered & got ready, letting these contractions go for awhile, then called the dr. He said to go to the hospital!

**And, I have to add, my husband had to drive through Dunkin Doughnuts for a coffee, on the way to the hospital! I didn't fight it too much, because I figured I needed an alert daddy! :)
Last Family Pic of just the 2 of us! Leaving for the Hospital!

We got to the Hospital about 7am, and I was dilated to a 5-6cm already. We hung out for a little while, I got the epidural (which honestly was the worst part of the whole thing....they couldn't get the needle in the right area), we waited on the nurses (delivering down the hallway) & the doctor (delivering at another hospital), and I pushed for 18 minutes, and out came our little BOY at 2:03pm!

He was 8lbs 0.1 oz, 19 1/4" long, Head was 13" around. Hair: medium brown, light eyebrows/eyelashes. Eyes: blue-grey. And, he has really big hands!

I was very surprised, he was a boy, I was really thinking it would be a girl, and I was ready to decorate everything purple! The baby came out, and we both went "what is it???" .....They turned him toward us, and it was obvious! But, I was so ecstatic, he was healthy! They laid him on me, and he squeezed my finger with his little hand. Connor James had arrived :)

We had a few pretty sleepless nights right off the bat, but he is eating well, and sleeping pretty darn good for a newborn. We are figuring out how get the schedule down of diapers, feedings, and sleep. We are loving every minute with him, and I can't seem to put him down, he is just so easy to love and cuddle :)

Ready for Baby!!!

Room was ready & I was ready to have the baby! I was very anxious to find out if it was a boy or a girl! Then we could decorate the room more with a boy or girl color!

Master Bath Reno

So, in addition to all we have going on, we decided to update our Master Bathroom. We figured we would never do this once our little one joins the family, soooo this was our Feb/March project. :) It wasn't too bad, but with 2 major snow storms, our tile guy getting sick, it took longer than it estimated. Another pain of being pregnant with a master bath reno is having to stumble down the hallway to use the bathroom multiple times in the middle of the night!

Before, with our ridiculously short vanity & our "Hollywood" lighting :)

AFTER PICS! We still need to paint, but everything else is done!

We are enjoying our new bathroom! :)

Our Nephew Grady!

Grady Ryan was born Sunday, March 24th, at 2:22am, 7lbs 15 oz, 21" long. It was a long day waiting in the hospital (probably watched about 20 basketball games on a 19" TV), plus a pretty big snow storm, but he was well worth the wait! Katie & Grady are both doing well!
