Engagement Pics/Rehearsal Dinner

Hi All, so we officially booked our Rehearsal Dinner site, at Wil Jenny's (1 block from the reception/hotel) http://www.wiljennys.com/ Amazing Tex Mex BBQ place :) I am in love with their Chardonnay Chicken!

Then, we took our Engagement pictures last Friday night (after a week straight of rain, the sun came out for a beautiful 75 degree day!) We took some in front of the JC Nichols fountain in the plaza (where Brent proposed), & outside the Nelson Atkins Museum (I had no idea how beautiful the outside was! plenty of great picture opportunities!) Here's a couple pics so far, there's about 10 on my facebook profile too, but we will have the rest sometime in the next month or so!

Happy Memorial Day, everybody! We're headed to Great Bend for Grandpa Jim's 85th Bday & family reunion :)

Off to South Dakota!

We drove up to Sioux Falls, South Dakota, last weekend to see my best girlfriends from dental school, and their growing families :) We only get together every year or so, it was SO much fun! There were a lot of little ones running around this time :)

This is us at the Butterfly House: Brent was out golfing with his good friend from HS who also lives there :)

& We got our first official Wedding gift! Thanks, Meag! You're so crafty!

We've also been looking into a great Rehearsal Dinner spot, Wil Jenny's - near the reception place & hotel.

More Dress Shopping!

We had a busy weekend, my mom & Kathy Hafner came up from Great Bend, for a girls weekend, a self defense class, and some wedding hub-bub :)

On Saturday, mom, Kathy, Lindsay, & I went to a self-defense class at Royals Stadium, put on by the T.A.K.E. Foundation (http://www.takedefense.org/), the foundation is in memory of Ali Kemp (I was in Pi Beta Phi with her at K-state). It's Lindsay & I's 2nd year of doing this class. It's really enlightening & you get to practice a lot of moves on dummies! (talk about getting a little stress out!) But, we had a lot of fun & learned a lot of useful things & defense moves. Look out, Brent! :)

& then, mom & I were off in search of a wedding gown again, we went to a few places & I tried on a few more dresses. I think I'm getting more of a feel for what kind of dress I want....but we'll see. I seem to like at least 1-2 dresses at each place, we go! So, we'll see! :) It's a lot of fun, but I'm sure at some point, I just need to pick one! I've got some time(and by the way, photo is NOT the dress either, too much poof! but I couldn't post a pic on here - I wouldn't want Brent to see! So you guys, just get to see the rejects :)
