Hardest Week of our Lives

Hi all,
I wanted to write a little something on the blog, just to inform people....and maybe it's a little theraputic for me too.....

Last Monday morning, my water broke....causing our week to go spinning out of control. Basically, our 16-week old baby couldn't survive without amniotic fluid.  And, we don't have a reason why it happened; something could've been wrong with the baby, or I got a rare virus or infection that attacked the baby and I. We were left with a lot of questions, that will probably never be answered. The toughest day was Wednesday, when I had surgery. But, everything went well. And, I'm having no pain.

Brent and I are very thankful that this process was quick, and it wasn't stretched out over a few weeks. We are glad we can start healing physically and emotionally. We are also VERY thankful for such caring family and friends. We have truly felt the love from everybody!

I am also SO thankful to have such an amazing husband by my side! If we can get through this together, we can survive anything.

Happy Valentines!

Happy Valentine's Day 2012!

Flowers from my Amazing Hubbie & My Furry Valentine

Wrigley deciding that she doesn't like the flowers any more & wouldn't come any closer than that
For Valentine's Day, we planned a nice little dinner at home of steak & potatoes. And, my amazing husband even waited in line for 30 minutes at CheeseCake Factory for a slice of cheesecake for his pregnant wife. Sounds like a nice little evening, until I thought "morning" sickness hit me, and I could only eat a few bites of our meal....turns out I had the flu......for the next 4 days :(  There is probably a permanent impression of my body on the couch now. Brent took really good care of me. And, on the upside, it appears morning sickness is gone!

And, Brent's dad Daryl had his hip replaced on Feb. 15! That is a HUGE deal....Daryl finally caved into seeing a doctor. He seems to be doing well!

And, Wrigley is going to get spayed on Feb. 21. Hopefully our little fireball does ok :)
