Bud & Betty Thompson, my mom's parents, were married on August 8, 1945, in Omaha, Nebraska. My Grandpa was about to be shipped out to the Japanese Invasion during World War II, but the atomic bombs were dropped and the war ended suddenly. After 65 years of marriage, they are still going strong! They still go down to Texas every winter for margaritas, sunshine, & fun! :) 106 days to go! I'm sitting here with my mom addressing wedding invitation envelopes!
